WHAT?!?!?! ♥
WHAT THE HELL.
I just saw images of baluts.

-----
Adapted from Wikipedia.
- A balut is a fertilized duck (or chicken) egg with a nearly-developed embryo inside that is boiled and eaten in the shell.
- Popularly believed to be an aphrodisiac and considered a high-protein, hearty snack.
(Stick to oysters luh.)
- They are common, everyday food in some other countries in Southeast Asia.
(Everyday food?!) - They are often served with beer.
(Stick to nuts, chips and sotong balls luh.)
- Baluts can be eaten with salt/pepper/vinegar mixture as seasonings.
(Don't care what seasonings. It's bad enough by nature.) - The broth surrounding the embryo is sipped from the egg before the shell is peeled, and the yolk and young chick inside can be eaten.
(Ya, use the word young some more. Doesn't the word 'young' just means 'vulnerable and cute' in this case? Geez.) - In some restaurants in Philippines, balut are served as appetizers in restaurants: fried in omelettes or even used as filling in baked pastries.
(Oyster omelettes not satisfying enough.) - In Vietnam, balut are eaten with a pinch of salt, lemon juice, plus ground pepper and Vietnamese Coriander leaves.
- A similar preparation is known in China as Maodan (毛蛋; literally "feathered egg"), Wangjidan (旺鸡蛋; literally "flush egg") or Huozhuzi (活珠子; literally "living bead").
(On a side note, I will not actually choose to believe people from this country won't eat such things, they already cook soups from human fetus and cook fresh puppy meat. What else do you not expect them to eat?) - Fertilized duck eggs are kept warm in the sun and stored in baskets to retain warmth. After nine days, the eggs are held to a light to reveal the embryo inside. Approximately eight days later the balut are ready to be cooked, sold, and eaten.
(Fuck you.) - Vendors sell cooked balut out of buckets of sand (used to retain warmth) accompanied by small packets of salt.
(-.-) - The cooking process is identical to that of hard-boiled chicken eggs, and baluts are eaten while still warm.
(Stick to hard-boiled eggs which still look like an egg when peeled luh. Baluts reveal chicks in fetus form when peeled, for God's sake.) - Duck eggs that are not properly developed after nine to twelve days are sold as penoy, which look, smell and taste similar to a regular hard-boiled egg. In Filipino cuisine, these are occasionally beaten and fried, similar to scrambled eggs, and served with a vinegar dip.
(Don't care baluts or penoy, still damn cruel.) - In the Philippines, the ideal balut is 17 days old, at which point it is said to be balut sa puti ("wrapped in white"). The chick inside is not old enough to show its beak, feathers or claws and the bones are undeveloped.
(Ya, still got the cheek to go ahead cooking them while knowing they are "not old enough to show its beak, feathers or claws and the bones are undeveloped.") - The Vietnamese often prefer their balut mature from 19 days up to 21 days, when the chick is old enough to be recognizable as a baby duck and has bones that will be firm but tender when cooked.
(What, better feel eating the tender bones? More crunchy? GEEZ!) - In Cambodia, it is eaten while it is still warm in its shell. It is served with nothing more than a little garnish, which is usually a mixture of lime juice and ground pepper.
(Sick.)

Well imagine eating them at their earlier stages! CRUEL!

They haven't even get to see the world.
Well, I shall not say I don't eat poultry, but that's when they grow older and they need to die anyway. Would you wanna eat chicks and ducklings or ugly and noisy chickens and fat ducks?
It's the same given an adult and a crying baby, when both the adult and the baby are annoying you to the max, which one would you punch?
And. Imagine someone eating your baby from your womb.
Imagine eating a fetus. You see, what difference does it makes eating this:

And this:

GOT DIFFERENCE OR NOT? GOT DIFFERENCE OR NOT?!!
But I can't comment much cuz I ate soft shell crabs, prawns, and shishamos with eggs inside. But there are exceptions to things luh. Some things are meant to be eaten, some are not. Cannot be picking all the eggs out before cooking.
Cruel pictures.
Cruel.
Sick.
Sick.
Cruel.
IT'S A SICK WORLD! URGH!!KTHNXBYE!
